Sinusitis Herbal Treatment: Book Review of "Sinus Relief
#1

Sinusitis Herbal Treatment - Book Review of "Sinus Relief Now" by Dr. Jordan Josephson- Part 1
When I first started seeing an ENT specialist years ago for my sinus problems, I purchased a couple of books on the subject of sinusitis. When I mentioned this to my doctor and asked a couple of questions that showed a bit more knowledge of the subject than most people had, he frowned and had a worried look on his face. He then commented that having only 'a little bit of knowledge was dangerous'. I therefore appreciated the comments by Dr. Josephson in his new book entitled 'Sinus Relief Now- The Groundbreaking 5 Step Program for Sinus, Allergy, and Asthma Sufferers'. He stated: 'If your physician responds negatively to your newfound knowledge or is obviously uncomfortable working with a patient who is well educated about his or her disease, it's another clear signal that it's time to move on' (and find another doctor). I wish I had had this advice at that time, as the doctor eventually performed my first sinus surgery, caused me immense pain, and he didn't improve my situation at all.

Should be Mentioned At this Point that Dr
Josephson is a well known and highly regarded ENT specialist and surgeon. He has several times been on New York magazine's 'Best Doctors' list. He has been an expert commentator on many local and national television programs, and he is the Director of the New York Nasal and Sinus Center. I personally believe this book should be part of the home library of anyone who suffers from what Dr. Josephson calls CAID, or Chronic Airway-Digestive Inflammatory Disease.

One Point is Made Clear Throughout the Book:
Like high blood pressure, sinus disease cannot be 'cured' in the sense that it is gone once and for all, but it can only be controlled. But with this awareness and being knowledgeable about one's problem, it is possible to control these health issues, and one can improve his or her life and not be forced to 'just live with it'. So after reading what we have mentioned here on Chronic Sinus, it is up to you to provide your verdict as to what exactly it is that you find fascinating here. Wink

Dr. Josephson says that smokers with CAID problems simply must quit. He has some appreciation of the difficulty of quitting, however, and offers some guidelines for that as well.

The U.S. alone this includes about 70 million people who suffer from sinus disease, asthma, allergies, reflux diseases GERD and LRPD, as well as sleep problems like snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Josephson believes that all these problems can be related for the simple reason that they all are associated with parts of the body which are directly connected together in the upper and lower respiratory and digestive systems. This is an interesting concept and is explained clearly and thoroughly in the early chapters of the book. Dr. Josephson discusses the symptoms of all these maladies and then offers a CAID test, which helps the reader understand which branch of CAID is causing his problems. He explains symptoms and possible treatment options in great detail for the various 'limbs' of CAID, sinus disease, allergies, asthma, GERD and LPRD, and sleep disorders such as snoring and sleep apnea. Looking for something logical on Sinus Relief, we stumbled on the information provided here. Look out for anything illogical here.

Dr. Josephson is a surgeon, and he pushes for a very conservative approach regarding turbinates. In the past many surgeons routinely cut out parts or even most of the turbinates in people. In recent years it is becoming apparent that this can have disastrous effects on patients over time, and there are many horror stories to read at the forum of the ENS Association web site. ENS stands for Empty Nose Syndrome, which is the term coined for this condition. Writing on Nasal Irrigation proved to be a gamble to us. This is because there simply seemed to be nothing to write about in the beginning of writing. It was only in the process of writing did we get more and more to write on Nasal Irrigation.

Dr. Josephson strongly emphasizes the use of nasal irrigation. He uses a sinus irrigation device every day, as do I. He also talks about using a neti pot for sinus irrigation, but I've used both and find the irrigator much more effective. I personally would not even recommend the neti pot method.

Asthma and Sinusitis are two uncomfortable, allergic conditions caused by the reaction of the body to substances known as allergens.
The good news however, is that in many cases treatment is available that can provide relief.
There are a number of over- the- counter remedies available that can relieve the discomfort of the allergic reaction.
Some of these remedies have proved very effective indeed giving relief.
Others have proved largely ineffectual.
It is advisable therefore, to seek qualified medical advice.
Failure is the stepping stone to success.
So if you do fail to understand this article on Sinus, don't fret.
Read it again a few times, and you are sure to finally get its meaning. Very Often People Turn to Alternative Sources for Advice in Dealing With Allergies
There are a great many sites on the internet advertising e-books describing treatment for two very common conditions, asthma and sinusitis. They were written by people who suffered at one time from these problems, but were able to get relief using unusual methods they discovered or devised. Developing a basis for this composition on Sinus was a lengthy task. It took lots of patience and hard work to develop.

Is also very difficult indeed to determine which of the wide variety of substances, commonly known to cause adverse physical reactions, is responsible in each individual case. It may be several substances. Responsibility is what makes a person. So we felt it our responsibility to elaborate more on Allergies Sinusitis so that not only us, but everyone knew more about it!

One of the most common reactions to allergens is known as "hay fever", a condition in which the mucous membranes react with severe nasal discharge, often accompanied with watery eyes. The term "hay fever" however, is misleading because the condition is not caused by a reaction to hay but to certain plant particles and animal proteins. Sinus Headaches are basically interesting parts of our day-to-day life. It is only that sometimes, we are not aware of this fact!

Doctors routinely perform prick tests to test the reaction to certain substances, or patch tests where various materials are applied to an absorbent pad are placed on the back. There is sometimes a delayed sensitivity reaction than can take from 48 to 72 hours after application. But these tests are often not conclusive. Frequently the reaction to the sample substances is not sufficiently marked to provide conclusive evidence.

How can one best deal with allergic reactions?
It is obvious very difficult indeed if one is unable to establish which particular allergen is causing the problem.
Thinking of what to do upon reading this article on Sinus Headaches?
Well you can very well use the information constructively by imparting it to others.
There is a very helpful website where you can get excellent advice about the treatment of allergies and sinusitis.
Go to ***** to find out more about these methods.
Quote:

The reason why some people are more susceptible to allergens than others is difficult to determine.
Genetic factors probably play an important role.
Whatever the cause, allergies are becoming even more widespread.
It is estimated that as much as 20% of the American population suffer from some form of allergic reaction.
Sinus came into being some time back.
However, would you believe that there are some people who still don't know what a Sinus is?
An allergen is a substance that causes the body to react in an unusual, uncomfortable and unpleasant manner, for example excessive, sneezing, running noses with severe mucous discharge, watery eyes, prolonged coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, intense itching, continual sore throats, severe sinus pain and sinus headaches, vomiting and a variety of other unpleasant conditions. Smile

The case of people unusually sensitive to certain allergens the body reacts to their presence by producing antibodies with the result that there is an immediate allergic reaction that can take different forms. Reading all this about Sinus Headaches is sure to help you get a better understanding of Sinus Headaches. So make full use of the information we have provided here.

The most common substances likely to cause these reactions in people unfortunate enough to suffer from allergic reactions, are substances such as grass pollens, house dust mites, animal hair, mold spores, even certain foods such shellfish, peanuts, eggs, and in the case of infants frequently cow's milk. Big Grin.

Dennis Fisher is Managing Director of Financial and Investment Companies
In addition to his involvement in many different fields of business, his interests include an in-depth study of various schools of practical psychology. He has also written a number of books on self-improvement, allergies and psychomatic disorders. It is of no use thinking that you know everything, when in reality, you don't know anything! It is only because we knew so much about Allergies Sinusitis that we got down to writing about it!

As allergy season arrives, the approximate 37 million Americans who suffer from sinusitis annually, will need a form of relief to stop this problem before it reaches the point of surgery. Luckily, with advanced technology and Sinus Dynamics, we can help them. Sinus Dynamics offers a new way to fight sinus infections using a nebulized treatment of medication to fight against all forms of sinusitis and other sinus related conditions.

However, Sinus Dynamics nebulized antibiotics are only distributed into the sinuses, which gives a much greater success rate at defeating sinusitis. Sinus Dynamics was recently recognized in the Harvard Medical School Guide to Healing Your Sinuses regarding their successful topical form of treatment. In the five years that the Sinus Dynamics program has existed, there has been a 98% success rate in treatment of patients with sinusitis, and has given hope to those who thought they would never know life without the surgeries and other time consuming and unsuccessful forms of treatment. It was at the spur of the moment that we ventured to write something about Healing Sinuses. Such is the amount of matter that is available on Healing Sinuses.

Sinus Dynamics is an Affordable, Non-Invasive Treatment that is Simple to Use
Treatment with the sinus aero only requires a shore inhalation of the medication. Sinus Dynamics handles all patient relations and their prescriptions from the moment that the prescription is received from the physician offices nationwide.

However, with this new technology and treatment, antibiotics and other medications are aerosolized and implemented topically, that results in little to no side effects since there is such low systematic absorption. The sinus cavities are hollow pockets with very low blood flow through them; therefore oral antibiotics have difficulty getting into the sinuses. We have written a humorous anecdote on Sinusitis to make it's reading more enjoyable and interesting to you. This way you learn there is a funny side to Sinusitis too!

Instead, Sinus Dynamics treatment medications are nebulized at 3.2 microns in particle size and have the ability to easily make their way into the sinuses, where the sinusitis actually lies. If you have used oral antibiotics, anti-fungal, or anti-inflammatory to treat sinusitis before, you know that there are usually systemic side effects. We were furnished with so many points to include while writing about Treat Sinusitis that we were actually lost as to which to use and which to discard! :o.

The nebulized treatment is delivered through the Sinus Aero Aerosol Medication Delivery System, using specialty compounded topical medications that is delivered right to the source of the sinusitis. Nasal sprays which are usually deposited into the nasal cavity, can be messy due to the large volumes needed to be placed in the nostril.

They answer any questions or concerns that a patient might have handling insurance details and works with many insurance companies. The Sinus Dynamics program is used mainly by ENT's and Allergists in North America, though any physician may order the treatment for their Sinusitis patients. Select antibiotics, anti-fungals and anti-inflammatories are offered to help relieve patients of their symptoms of sinusitis and allergies. Smile

One success story comes from a patient in Seattle, WA, who has suffered from this condition for nearly twenty years.
She had numerous surgeries and the infection would always come back.
Then she found Sinus Dynamics.
She states that "After three months of cefuroxime nebulizing treatment my symptoms were gone for four solid months. :o
Sinus cavities, though they are located in the head, open up in the nasal passages for free exchange of air and mucus.
This is how the sinus allergy causes come into play, enter the nasal cavity and often cause sinusitis.
Get Your FREE eBook!
Not Only That, I'll also give You a FREE subscription to my Exclusive, No Hype natural and alternatives treatments e-zine!
Just for visiting.
Sinus Allergy Causes can be Many and Varied
It can range from the pollen of flowers, dust, dirt, pollution etc. These sinus allergy cause the nasal cavity to become blocked. When the mucus cannot flow freely anymore, it becomes stuck inside the nasal cavity and that becomes a perfect breeding ground for allergies. Quality is better than quantity. It is of no use writing numerous pages of nonsense for the reader. Instead, it is better to write a short, and informative article on specific subjects like Sinusitis. People tend to enjoy it more.

The answer to the riddle of why certain sinus allergy causes harm some people while leaving others unaffected lies in the hereditary make up of people. It is generally seen that people whose parents suffered from allergy of a certain type are predisposed towards them. Even unlikely sources like milk and milk products act as sinus allergy causes in some people with such hereditary make-up and can make them sick. We have used clear and concise words in this article on Sinus to avoid any misunderstandings and confusions that can be caused due to difficult words.

Pollen, a powdery substance released in the air by flowers is the most common cause for allergies.
All sinus allergies causes center around the pollen and therefore spring is the worse time for sufferers.
As the air is unusually dry in spring and the pollination season also starts, the pollen is carried easily by the dry breeze.
This way it enters the body with the air we breathe.
For those who are prone to sinus allergies the trouble begins at this stage.
The body perceives of these sinus allergy causes as harmful substances and produces histamine to tackle their effects.
The histamine causes itching in the eyes and a runny nose.
Once the diagnosis of what causes allergy is a person is done effectively, allergy causes can be controlled or even removed to restore normal breathing and life to the sufferers. It is always better to use simple English when writing descriptive articles, like this one on Sinus Allergy. It is the layman who may read such articles, and if he can't understand it, what is the point of writing it?

Sinus allergy causes, whether it is pollen, animal fur, mold or dust is in most cases within ones sphere of control. Though there is not much that you can do to keep the pollen from coming in with the air, repeatedly cleaning the house often rids it of the other potential causes like mold and dust. Environmental triggers are the sinus allergy causes therefore try as much as possible to keep control on them. As long as the immediate surroundings of a person prone to sinusitis are clean, there are fewer chances of sinus allergy causes wrecking havoc on his or her system.
